Contract for the Construction of a Cardiovascular Surgical Center at the Emergency Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases and Transplant Târgu Mureş awarded to the Consortium led by CON-A Operations

The consortium led by CONA Operations has signed the contract for the construction of a cardiovascular surgical center at the Emergency Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases and Transplant Târgu Mureș. The contract includes the design (preparation of PT, DE, DTAC, DTOE, documentation for obtaining approvals), execution of works, and technical assistance from the designer during the execution of the works. The beneficiary of the investment is the Emergency Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases and Transplant Târgu Mureș, and the project is funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).

The center will have a new building with a height regime of 2S+P+5E and will be located within the hospital complex of the Târgu Mureș County Emergency Clinical Hospital. Broadly, the structure of the medical center includes the following functions:

  • Basement 2: underground parking and civil protection shelter
  • Basement 1: administrative offices, light court for staff, medical analysis laboratory, technical annexes
  • Ground floor: reception and waiting area, served by a café; integrated outpatient clinic; Radiology and medical imaging department; closed-circuit pharmacy, technical annexes
  • First floor: medical recovery section and Pediatric Cardiology Section II
  • Second floor: Cardiology Section I
  • Third floor: Cardiovascular Section
  • Fourth floor: Functional explorations laboratory and non-invasive explorations laboratory, Electrophysiology laboratory; Cardiology Section
  • Fifth floor: Operating room and Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  • Technical floor: technical equipment, chillers, photovoltaic panels, and thermal power plant

The total area of the new building will be approximately 19,300 sqm, with a total of 214 continuous hospitalization beds and 5 day hospitalization beds. The contractual period is 24 months – design and execution. The contract does not include the supply and installation of medical equipment.
