We are rolling out a new project in Cluj, a city where the CONA team feels at home. Many of our employees are from Cluj or have studied there. We are now constructing a new building for the University Library, which will become a new landmark of this vibrant, predominantly academic city. At the end of 2023, our company was awarded the contract for this project. The purpose of the investment is to construct a new storage facility with open-shelf access. The building will have a height regime of 2B+GF+2SF+3 and will cover a total area of 7,349.78 sqm.

The main uses of the building’s spaces are as follows:

• The second basement will house a civil defense shelter, technical spaces and an underground parking with a car ramp.
• The first basement will also feature technical spaces, underground parking and car ramps.
• The semi-basement is designed to include a server room, book storage, digitalization lab and computer lab, along with a book delivery area.
• The ground floor will have a conference hall and lobby.
• The first floor – spaces for book storage, reading and individual study areas and a connecting walkway, with the second floor being similar to the first,
• The third floor will, in addition to the book storage and technical spaces, feature a planter and an extensively green terrace.

The beneficiary of the investment is the Lucian Blaga Central University Library.
